welcome your feedback and suggestions. If there are changes that are occurring
in your child’s life, notify me as soon as possible so that I can understand the
best way help your child. If your address or phone number changes, contact
the office right away so that we have updated information. Working as a team
ensures your child the best educational opportunity.

Steps:
Gather
School Supplies. We will share many supplies but individual journals,
folders, and headphones are needed right away. A complete list of supplies is
attached and can also be found on Brassfield’s website.
Come
ready to learn. The new school year for Track 2 begins Monday July
9, 2018. As a reminder, the school day starts promptly at 9:15am. The
outside modular door is unlocked for students as they arrive between 8:45am and
9:15am. Students are not allowed in the modular until after the first bell rings.
If your child rides a bus, please visit www.wcpss.net/student-information
for transportation details. It is very important that your child know how they
are getting home, especially the first few days of a new school year.
Plan for Lunch. Lunchtime
is each day from 11:50-12:20pm. Feel free to join us after the first two
weeks of school. Students will use their student id number for their lunch
account. Please write this number on your check when adding money to their
lunch account. To open and/or maintain your child’s lunch account go to https://www.myschoolbucks.com .
Applications for free and reduced lunch can be found at www.wcpss.net. Click the bottom tab “School Meals”. Your
child should know their number. If they do not, please send in a note, and I
will send it home with your child.
Attend
Open House: You
are invited to attend Open House from 5:30-7:30pm Tuesday, July 18th. This is
not an appropriate time for a private conference. Please schedule individual
times with me if needed. I am looking forward to meeting you!
Register as a Volunteer. If you plan to volunteer in any capacity this year you MUST update your security clearance with WCPSS. This can be done in the Media center. No parent will be allowed to go on field trips or help with student activities without this clearance.
